the dark side of the Force
It's been announced by the media that Google readies banner offerings.
That is alarming news, not only for us (the users) but for them (the enterprise). We all came to Google because we were fed up with those horrible banners that made every web look like la verbena de la paloma. We are very happy with all that Google offers today: its nice searcher, mail service and blog hosting, all of it free from annoying ads.
Is it going to change? Are we going to see that top bar in this blog getting fatter and fatter? Will we have to suffer flashing banners in each and every one of our searches? Will we send ads together with our messages in Gmail? Sure not. We'll move if necessary.
